Exterior paint themes

Post by prestwich »

OK, So I haven't finished the emp yet. But I don't think it's ever too early to start thinking about painting the plane. No, not those pesky ribs and spars that no one will ever see. :P

I'm talking about the OUTside of the airplane. Mine is going to be called "White Trash"; I already have 511WT reserved. So I did a google image search for "white trash" to see whether anything appropiate might come up. Found something that seems to fit. Here's the mockup that took way too long, printed out on 12 sheets of paper and taped onto the VS skin. You can see I got lazy trimming the curly-cues.

Of course, I'll have to ask the artist before I actually put his White Trash on my White Trash. But, this is the general theme I'm going for. Nothing overly subtle.

So what about it? Do you guys know what your plane is going to look like? Might as well start thinking about it, anyway.

   Too funny, Jim! Yep, she does blend on there I think. Should give credit to the artist:

A lot of his stuff is too gothic for me, all the skulls and horned beasts and stuff. But it's ironic that this one was named white trash and it's along the lines of what I was imagining. I'll probably end up finding a local artist who can do the whole plane in that style. Not overdone, just highlights like that here and there, with an appropriate background to lend some continuity.

Ah, we are dreamers, aren't we?

Now how did you get a picture of Patti on your airplane? I expect that royalty check any minute now :)

Hmmm, picture of the wife on the plane, that might not be a bad idea after all .....
