Rustoleum Textured Paint

Post by captain_john »

I was perusing the aviation aisles at the local Home Depot and was wondering what I was going to use for paint for all the small incidental parts in the cockpit.

I knew that I didn't want to do all those miscellaneous items with a husge process. Spray can are all I really need.

I have used Rustoleum Hammerite paint in the past. I know that many people here are using it right now, but the Rustoleum Textured stuff caught my eye.

I picked up a can of the stuff in grey and used it on the flap motor enclosure. It really lays on well! I am impressed!

Give the stuff a try. I think I may have just found mt panel paint! It is very non reflective and quite "touch uppable" if that is even a word (I know it's not).

You might like it too?

Uh, pictures of the parts? I have lately been wondering what I am going to do for cockpit surfaces.

I will upload them when it is all assembled.

It is hard to show texture in a picture Spike, but I will do my best!

I just got back from HD and picked up 4 more cans of the stuff. Coverage isn't great.
