So I invited my painter friend over to see the project. Work has slowed for him, so he may have some booth time available sooner than later. Anyway, wings are 95% ready, so will probably be first up. Fuse is on deck, but needs a fair amount of glass work first.

My question is: Has anybody painted the fuselage prior to installing the back window?

I originally painted the the rollbar with Hammered Gray Rustoleum. Now I'm thinking I want the rollbar to match the upper color of the fuse.

I don't know of anyone that has. I would imagine it could be done, you would just have to be diligent in the masking. Though I guess that statement holds for most all paint jobs.
