Sherwin Williams Coatings

Post by captain_john »

Has anyone used these products?

http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/refer ... =Dimension

I am thinking of doing some experimentation. I made a bumper for my JEEP about a year ago. All it really needs is a few more welds, prep and paint.

I am thinking of media blasting and priming with my DuPont VariPrime and topcoating with:

DIMENSION HS Urethane Enamel 3.5 VOC, like it seems Dan did on his interior.

I expect that the JEEP bumper experiment is the most extreme in durability testing.

Anyone with any experience here that can add to this conversation?

Dont know if you noticed or not CJ but someone posted in the Vendor Forum about a good source for Sherwin products. He may have an opinion for you.

I did see that! The product cited was not the DIMENSION HS Urethane Enamel 3.5 VOC, but good information none the less!

I need to go back there and review the thread. I had plans of visiting the SW store here this week and talk to the representative, but haven't had a chance to get there yet.

More to come, I am sure!
