I should win an award...

...for making things twice as hard as they need to be.

I riveted one of the leading edges to the spar tonight using MSP-4x blind rivets. But here is the good part, I pulled them from inside, yes inside, the leading edge. Why? At this point I am not even sure I know why I did this. Ok, so maybe it had something to do with wanting to keep the factory side of the rivet on the thinner material, and because I was having a hard time getting even my ground down rivet puller onto the rivets from below (due to their proximity to the rear ribs). It took about an hour, and the outboard two and inboard two were actually fairly easy, but the middle two... oh my! By the time I got the the last inner rib, I didn't have any strength left in my hands from pulling all those hard steel rivets. I am going to be sore tomorrow!

Anyway, it's done, and it looks great. I just can't decide if I am either extremely brave or extremely stupid. No comments please.

One down, one to go... gulp!

That IS the problem Peter... I can't do the other side differently, my personality (aka voices in my head) won't allow it!!! :bang:

My hands aren't so sore today, but the marks from where I hit my wrists on the lightening holes when the rivets go "POP" kinda hurt.

One of these days I will learn to keep things simple. Just not today.
