Finally Progress!

Well after healing from the water skiing accident, finishing the cabinet I promised my wife several years ago and the required business trips, I have finally made some real progress on the RV-8. The left Horizontal Stabilizer is done!!! (I know big deal)
So in celebration I thought I would show you a little piece of tail!!

I really got caught up in the HS404->HS405deal. I was so concerned that I would mess up the min edge clearance for the holes

but in the end like so many other things it was a non-event. I found that if I matched the parts together using some scrap metal, I could draw the 404 notches on the 405 and then measure for the holes and poof perfect

Yippee! tonight I should be able to finish the right stabilizer since I wont be spending so much time worrying

This is way too much fun

A 'little' bit of worry is good, but it is a whole lot easier to just have fun and when something gets done a little less than ideal, just order a new part and work on something else until it shows up. In the big scheme of things it is less stressful to make mistakes and fix them, then trying so hard not to many any. Sounds like you are hooked.

hahaha Yep Big time. Couldnt even come close to concentrating on work. I spent da whole day thinking about cleco's
