How often do you work on your project?

Post by Spike »

I was just curious as to how often our members work on their projects. Not being one that works on his project every night due to other things that get in the way I was curious about the group as a whole.

Do you ever not work on the project because your just not in the mood to do so? How often does that happen?

Good question!

I consider organization and mental preparation "work" as well as genuine productivity.

Do you?

Yeah. I am about to jump into the right elevator and Ill spend a night or two just reading over every part of the drawings making notes on them. I like to try and get the whole part pictured mentally before I start work. It makes it easier during the process if know what the part is for while I'm making it.

Every Friday Too

Post by David Lynch »

I usually work 3 - 4 night, plus I have every Friday off work. I have so much vacation time saved up over the years that my company is threatening to take it away unless I use it up. So I am working 4-6 hours on Friday too.

Even so, it has been 5 months since I started the tail section, and 230 hours, and I am not done yet! I think I will be done by March 31st. Which is good because the wing kit will arrive then.

I know that I am very particular about my building, and I have only wasted about 30 hours fixing mistake (replacing the rudder skin, etc.) But how do people get theirs done so fast?
