Finally got the guts to do it...

Post by cjensen »

I put fuses in the blocks today!

Image

Everything in the panel, except the 295, which isn't there, has been powered up! No smoke either!

I need to figure out why I have power at the AHRS, but no horizon tho. Could be a setup issue... :?

The start up screen on the Enigma is the factory screen...it won't be used as I've designed my own that I'll be loading soon.

Got the horizon and compass issues figured out...the colors in this pic are terrible, but I had to post the "fixed" pic! This is the screen that I designed as well...

Image

Oh, the problem, you ask? Well, builder error prevailed here, and I forgot to run power to the compass, which caused a fault interruption to the AHRS sensor. I ran power to it last night, and it's all good!

Chad!

Looks great! The only way it could look better is if it was a GRT screen!

 I do like the look of the GRT's...the thing about the Enigma, and the entire line of MGL stuff, is that it's COMPLETELY configurable. I can make changes to any screen, any page, and put whatever I want, wherever I want. Really slick how it all works!

Glad it wasn't anything serious Chad, bet there was a sigh or relief when you found it was just a "Not Enough Volts" issue.

I too am intrigued by the configurable nature of the MGL units, I spent a lot of years designing electronic user interfaces (nothing to do with aviation) and like to tweak them

Looks good Chad! I like that you even thought to give your pet mouse a place of his own in the panel too
