Need Help
Need Help
Hey guys and gals, I have a problem a guy I know got ripped off along with about 12 others by a guy advertising instrument rating con on ebay. His name is Mr. Bradley there is a order of seizure on his plane. As many friends as we have on here I was hoping that if someone sees his Plane (1981 CESSNA 172 TAIL # N63139) Please let me know so I can let my friend know. Just need a location on it as like I said before there is a judgment on the plane by the courts... Sorry if I put this in the wrong spot and if this wasn't permitted but I figure that even if we cant find it maybe it will be a thought in case someone that was wondering about a Flight instrument rating on Ebay maybe you will think twice so its a trade off a warning and a cry for help by the way he is supposedly based at Beaumont SC. I found a OLD PIC when I was researching pic is dated 2/09 @ Shreveport Downtown Airport (DTN)

I don't feel this belongs here (on this forum), but I've been wrong before...
Sorry you have a problem with it!!!!! But I feel as though this is something that needs to be said since he is scamming people, do you agree that is wrong or do you think that, that is ok?

While everyone here is probably sympathetic to your friends plight. we also are skeptical of posters who just show up.
BTW-from what I know of Ebay, scams are a possibility at all times. Buyer beware.
Well I assure you I am no bot or whatever else you are thinking just had a friend that had a problem trying to help again sorry
No need to discuss here. This isn't a general forum on aviation and eBay scammers. Hope you understand. I mean no disrespect to you or your friend, but this simply isn't the forum for posting this.Spedz wrote:Sorry you have a problem with it!!!!! As Chad has mentioned this type of stuff really isn't germane to this group. However to be fair we don't generally hold a very hard line on that as we all like to talk about things near and dear to our hearts outside of aviation.cjensen wrote:No need to discuss here. With that said I think the biggest issue here is that Spedz enthusiasm for this was overriding what most people would consider forum etiquette. I suspect however that he knew that considering he apologized for it when you originally started the thread. Additional punctuation would have helped as well. Spedz, while I feel for your friend's plight it doesn't sound like you have a real problem that you need help with and as such giving as many details is somewhat tantamount to gossip.
While I appreciate the idea of the airport watch concept a simple request if anyone had seen a tail number would have sufficed.
Chad said nothing that seemed to indicate that he thought that 'scamming' people was ok. I do love a good debate around here but let me remind the board that being arbitrarily argumentative is not cool.Spedz wrote:Sorry you have a problem with it!!!!! Like I said elsewhere Spedz, welcome to the group. Slow your roll a bit and enjoy yourself.
