Hey from Indiana

Post by Spedz »

Hey guys and gals...I hope all is well!!!! I have always loved aviation and now that I am layed off I am planing on going back to school to become a A&P and hopefully a ATP!!! I am a little older then you average college student and been out of school for a long time. However my wife graduates at 28 yrs old from college next month (Dec. 2010) so its my turn. Anyone think at my age I would have a problem with getting a job as a ATP when I graduate I will be around 35 or 36 yrs old depending on how long it takes me to get it!!!! I am hoping to attend Vincinnes University to get my A&P and hopefully go to Purdue or Eastern Kentucky University for my ATP!!!! If anyone knows anything about the schools I have mentioned please feel free to speak up either it be good or bad!!!!! I have no heath problems and my family has always been pretty heath and live to be a very old both granny's and gpas lived to be in there 90s or close to it LOL!!!!

My favorite planes are the DC-3 and the P-51 mustang but think any plane flying or not is something spectacular!!!!! I go to TOL (Thunder over Louisville) every year and hope to go to the Air-venture soon (also known as OshKosh Fly in).

Thanks for listening, taking a interest and having a great forum!!!!!

I was gonna tell you if you go to Google and type in Vincinnes University at Indy it will take you to there website they have a program that if your like 55 or older I believe is what it is Tuition is free so I am not sure what you would want to do but if it would be get a A&P just for fun or get a PPL which you already have I am sure might be something to look into!!!!

Thanks for the thought, But I am tooooo old to give it a try now. Not many years left for me. At least not enough to make it worth while.
Best to you,
Dave
