N782P Jr.

Post by painless »

Last summer I decided to treat myself and ordered a model of my RV6A from Gift of Wings. They have a booth at OSH every year and I have always been tempted to go for it.

After taking several pics and sending them a CD as well as paint samples, here is the result:

Turned out pretty good. A few things are not accurate, but pretty darn close.

That is really nice Jeff, now when somebody at your home (or office, depending on where you keep it) asks what your plane looks like you can point to Jr.

Normally I have a set of pictures in each car and of couse I have my builder's log to born people with at our house. I might be inclined to purchase one of those models by my better half says I have to much around the house as it is. If she ever heard the price of the models she would get that propeller running at redline some how and stick it where the suns doesn't shine on me. I hope your spouse is more tolerant it is a neat model and really tempts me.

My wife is very understanding. Shoot....she even knows about me building another airplane, so this model is just a blip on the radar to her.

I figure that someday my time with N782P will end, and that this model will be a great addition to all the pictures I have to remember all the good times.

Hopefully it will be awhile yet tho...... :)
