We haven't picked a date, but we had a OSH2011 thread in the fly-in planning section. But a dedicated "Otter" thread is needed.

so I vote for Wednesday the 27th at the Black Otter, but am flexible since I will be begging for a ride.

We're having a trailer delivered, so the plan is to fly in on Friday the 22nd and not sure what day we'll be heading home. I have 10days of vacation blocked out. :)

Weds would work for me it's Naval Aviaition Day so I will be there for sure that day but I can be there any day that works for the group!

It'll be nice to be there this year either way!

Vans is having their banquet on Tuesday night. From past observation, many folks start to bug out by Thursday, so that leaves either Monday or Wednesday. I too vote for Wednesday, as Monday may be a tad too early.

Spike, if you want me to, I can give the Otter a call and make reservations once we see how many folks will be coming. I can take a roll call a couple weeks before Airventure begins. I'd be happy to do that if you wish.

I'm doing ribs this year. I'm waiving the white flag when it comes to 32oz+ of prime rib! I know....I'm a lightweight. No fruity beer tho, that's where I draw the line! :P

Go for it Jeff! Not sure what my status is this year. I am thinking that I might have to miss 2 in a row with the arrival of Carrie, etc. Id love to make it though as I miss you guys greatly and could use the aviation high.

Otter plans?

Post by pazmanyflyer »

Ladies and gents,
I've seen many Otter photos and read many Otter stories and I'd like to
know how to get the secret hand shake / password / chest bumps for an
empty seat to join you guys this year. :-) I haven't been to Osh since
the 90's when I was a teen with Dad. I asked him to join me this year in
Jan but he passed in Feb but I'm still keeping the trip moving forward.

We'll find a way to get you there Carlos! We will more than likely have room in the truck we'll have, but I can't speak for certain as it's not my truck. We'll make sure you get there though! 8)

Thanks Chad! I'm driving up solo from AZ in my Corolla so if seats are needed for the trip to/from the Otter mine are available.

Oops I didn't know I needed the secret handshake...can I still get in?...I've got part of my aviation budget set aside for some Otter beef. I promise not to bite off more than I can chew.

We usually meet there 5:45pm-6:00 for drinks and chat, then we are usually seated around 7 for dinner.
