Some of you might be interested in the progress of Bill Randolph's around the world flight in his RV-8. This web page posts updates from his wife Shirley:
Bill Randolph's Around the World Flight
He left here (Watsonville, CA) on March 9, and flew to Texas, Florida, Trindad, Brazil, Senegal, Morocco, Sardinia, Rome, Cyprus, Dubai, and India. He has had a lot of problems with local bureaucracies, but no serious equipment problems until he blew two tires landing in Phuket, Thailand, a couple of weeks ago (one of them caught fire!). He has had to wait for replacement parts, which have now arrived, so he should be on his way again soon.
