Hangar / Building Space Needed Near Boston

Post by aparchment »

New England RVers and pilots. My family and I are moving back to the Boston area this month, and I need space to store and ideally work on my RV-7A. Does anyone have a lead for me? We will end up living within an hour of Boston. I really don't need a hangar yet, but would gladly pay for space in one.

If we end up on the North Shore the best airports for me would be (in order of preference) Beverly (BVY), Lawrence (LWM), Plum Island (2B2) and Hanscom (BED). If we end up on the South Shore then Norwood (OWD), Marshfield (GHG), Plymouth (PYM) and Mansfield (1B9) would be good options.

John, do your guys in PYM have anything?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can either contact me via phone 313-647-4524, the email link on this thread or PM on this forum.

Hangars at Hanscom

Post by Thermos »

Antony,

One of my colleagues at work mentioned recently that the hangar next to his at Hanscom is vacant. Might be a possibility...let me know if you'd like to contact him.

The downside is having to deal with the bureaucratic heartache from Massport...but that's another issue!

Also, there might be some space in the EAA Chapter 106 hangar at Lawrence. I can send you the chapter president's contact info if you're interested.

Best,

Dave

Dave, I got Antony a short term hangar for the GOOSE!

He will need something permanent after his welcome wears out.

Wow, I have been offline for a while dealing with the move and new job, so I missed these posts.

John, I can't think you enough for helping out. I am happy that I have found something closer to home. You have to come up and meet the local community.

Dave, thanks also for those leads. It may still be worth my time to chat with those folks. I will try to call this weekend.
