Just an update, Folks!

Also, if you need a room I am holding these rooms at the Comfort Inn until TOMORROW! After that date, I would have to put my own money down and I don't want to do that as I am doing this for education and entertainment... not for profit!

One more thing!

We are having a cookout, this coming weekend!On Saturday, July 16th we will be cooking burgers, dogs and I plan on making my award winning chili! The food is free, all we ask for is a donation.

The event on the 16th will be at Ace Helicopter on the south side of the field!

By aircraft, you will taxi as though you are departing on runway 33... but take the turnoff at the only hangar there. We will have a comm radio tuned to Unicom, 123.00 if you have any questions. The grass will be mowed for parking so taxi on up and have some lunch!

By car, the airport is on South Meadow in Plymouth. Enter at Gate 6 and follow the signs along the dirt road past the approach end of runway 6, to the event.

We will be there from 11AM until the food is gone or the last plane leaves!

Since we're getting closer to the go/nogo date for Bob Nuckolls' seminar, here's a thought for those of you who are already registered.

If we get to Bob's 20 Jul registration deadline and don't have enough bodies to guarantee his travel, how many of you would be willing to chip in a few extra bucks to make sure this seminar happens? If we have no more than the 15 folks currently registered, that means an extra $30 from each of us to bring Bob to Plymouth.

There has only been one other seminar in New England in the last couple of years (Groton, CT), and the only other scheduled seminar east of Illinois is in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in November. I'm certainly willing to pony up some extra bucks to have this seminar happen in a more convenient location.

Of course, this will only work if everyone decides to chip in...

What say you?

Great idea that I think would be a great solution! I would be more than happy to chip in. I was making plans to go out west to get this seminar until I was pleasently surprised by CJ putting this together.

We still have a month left and I am really, REALLY, REEEEEALLLLLY counting on having a full boat and not having to chip in anything additional.

Plan B... beg Bob to come and bribe him with food and beer. I hope he is a boozer!

Plan C... well let's count on not needing it!

Hey John,

Signed up for a room at the comfort inn today. Not many rooms left. Think it's great that you and your chapter are hosting this event. Can't wait to meet you all there! I will let all the members of our chapter (27) know about the seminar again at our July meeting.

Well, all the chili is gone!

It seems that the chili was a big hit! Everyone really liked it! This is why I make it! Looks like it will be a regular staple at all the affairs. It is easy to do, can feed alot of people and serves double duty as a condiment for dogs and burgers!

We will make it again for the August 14th cookout next month! Hope you can make that one!

The cookout was a TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

A BIG THANK YOU to all that helped out, brought food stuffs and chipped into the donation can!

If not for those three categories of participants, it would have been a flop. I expect that the RV people can find a welcome environment here at Plymouth, thanks to EAA Chapter UL62.

I have posted photos in the gallery here at RB and they can be viewed in "the Hangar" folder. Thank you Spike and Patti!

Just want to say thanks for an excellent get together! Good food, good times and good people. It was a pleasure, but now I have to wash my car after that one mile dirt road

that I traveld at 6mph!

IFR was nothing compared to the dirt 1.1 mile dirt road in a new 350Z

Jim, What only you and I know is...

I told you TWICE that was a long dirt road and for you to call me so you could leave your car at the main terminal. I would GLADLY pick you and Shannon up in the golf cart or my JEEP and cheauffer you across the active area!

Looks like next time I will need the Waaaaah-mbulance!

Thanks for coming, Jim. I wish I had more time to chat with you and others. Time just went so fast! I don't think I said much more than hello to Shannon. I hope she enjoyed herself.
