Try "www.flightfactory-simulations.com". They make the RV-7 sim and have it on CD. Dan

RV-7 for flightsim

Actually FFS's RV-7 is for FS2004 (a.k.a. FS9) only. It will not work in FS2002 as far as I know. It is a nice package for only twenty bucks. I had to upgrade my memory to get it to fly right. Also I don't know where they got their figure of 12,000 :? dollars for insurance for a year. Most guys pay a tenth of that. FFS doesn't recommend it as an AI (artificial intelligence-commonly called "traffic") because it uses large files. I used the RV-6 and 6A that were made for FS2002 in FS9 but for some reason the flaps and lights don't work on the 6A anymore. I substituted them for all the Mooneys and Cessnas in my AI and now I have RV traffic all over the place! It's cool. I have flown that FS RV-6 all over the country in real time just droning along on the autopilot while I do something else. It has given me the chance to pick out various spots to stop on trips. I don't have the time to mess with the flap problems because I have real RV parts to work on. But it's good to play with when you can't work on actual parts. You can get the 6 and 6A from flightsim.com.

I was just going to post inquiring about this...this is GREAT! So does the -6 fly like a real -6? I only have FS 2002 so it looks like I'm stuck flying the -6. I'm actually building the -8, but I don't care about the view out the window; only the handling and power characteristics.

Will I have to do any configuring, or can I load the files and fly?

Also, I don't understand why the -6 files (or did you say -7 files) would be more of a memory load than any other aircraft in the FS database.

Thanks,

grant-
