Oshkosh Travel Arrangements / Ride Sharing

Hi folks:

Forgive the double post to VAF and here, but I think there may be two different audiences.

I imagine many of us will be going to Oshkosh (my first time!), so I might as well start a thread discussing potential ride sharing opportunities.

It's also my opportunity to do two things:

1) beg someone for a ride from Chicago to Oshkosh on July 27th and

2) offer anyone who wants to get something big back from Oshkosh to any state between Wisconsin and Maine a space on the truck I am renting to bring my fuse home after the show.

Let me know on either front.

Just a bump. Osh is getting closer and I need to finalize my plans.

Hey Antony,

I just posted over at VAF, but I will be going Mon-Wed or Thurs. this year. I may not be flying in if I can borrow my uncle's motorhome. That will be a different experience this year as I have flown in to OSH for the last four or five years. I'll be heading right by Chicago if I drive, and you're welcome to ride along if you're gonna go those days!

That's a very generous offer, but I will be going Thursday through Sunday. I am picking my fuse up at the show and driving it back home after.

I will keep an eye out for you on Thursday, if you are still around.

There is also a slight possibility that I will fly into Oshkosh or even Green Bay with a friend in his -7.

Sweet! Gettin' the fuse, and the possibility of arriving via RV (the flying variety!) is the way to go! I hope to stay thru Thurs, but will depend on my dad, and how he feels. He is usually getting to the point of saturation by the third day...
