I'll be solo and can carry 4 more if needed. Was going to fly up, but decided to drive.

I'm flying in as well as would need a ride for my son and myself.

I'll be camping in Scholler with the RV-10 gang.

I'm planning on going. I can provide ground transportation for 1 passenger providing they have a motorcycle helmet. (I realize that's not too likely, but the offer stands).

Cheers,

Alas, the speed triple is no longer in the stable. I'll be on the 955i Tiger. The speed triple was great, but I couldn't walk after even a 500 mile day of twisties. There's no way I could handle 1500 miles of MidWest droning in 2 days on it.

The Tiger does okay though. I rode it to Deals Gap last month and managed to grind the peg feelers off. It's also fun in the dirt.

I would like to join as well. I'll be solo. I have to double check with my boss tomorrow as I just learned today he may want me to return to work Tuesday night. I am hopefull that I will be available. If so, I should have a suburban with me so I can take a few if rides are needed. I'll confirm tomorrow or Friday. Thanks for all the work.

Add me in for one as a latecomer.
I can either hitch a ride with someone or drive with 3-4 people - I will be in Scholler and have an older 4Runner (could sit 3 in the back depending on size).

Meeting for dinner

Post by rlefler »

Is there some place we can meet at OSH before dinner for those of us that need rides can hook up with those that have empty seats to fill?

That is a good dea. I will have a suburban and have plenty of room. If we have a rally point it might make hooking up easier.

We did something like this last year. I think if we meet somewhere along the entrance road to Camp Scholler, it would make it easy to get to, and leave the grounds from there.

Other ideas?

Sounds like a winner.
Say, did we set a time? I saw a couple of suggestions floated but nothing seemed firmed up.

Chad's idea is good, but probably need something a little more specific.

Like, northwest corner of x and y.

Along the entrance road to Camp Scholler might get us scattered over quite a distance with no real mechanism to identify ourselves.

Yeah, a specific spot in that area would be best. If we meet up around 5:45pm (if dinner is a 7), traffic coming in to the camp would be slowing down a bit and I think we could find one another. I'll have a dark blue GMC Envoy that I could park along side, and we meet there on foot, bike, or other vehicles...

Great idea guys. It might make sense to see if we can fill seats now. That way when we get to Osh we know specifically who is expecting to ride with whom. That makes it less likely that someone gets left out in the dark if they are running a few late to the "meeting". Don't forget Scott has a phone list also.

I have Scott's phone list....

I like John's suggestion about coordinating rides.

So who wants to commit to give my son and I a ride. We're camping in Scholler, if that has any impact.

thanks,
