Excellent Mark!! What kind of engine do you have on that? Going to Osh? Hook up with us if you are.
I also added your builder's site to the resources pages.
Good looking bird!

Mark, Good to see you here! Plane looks GREAT! Chime in regularly. I would like to hear about your first flight soon!
Lorin, AWESOME STUFF! The caps are slicker 'an sheet and not nearly as tacky! Nice job on the backriveting!
I am still messin' with my flaps. Pics to follow...

Thanks everyone! It was a good feeling having it running. I've been riding around the airport in it a little too. That's a lot of fun!
The engine is a Mattituck TMX IOF-360 with an MT 3 Blade prop. It's super smooth too. I've never flown a plane with such a smooth running engine, so I'm really looking forward to the day!
I'm starting to sort out all my registration and airworthiness paperwok now too.

Progress... FINALLY!

Flaps, the easiest of all the control surfaces on the -7. Well then, Why did they take me SO LOOOONG!?!
I am finally ready for primer! I am really confident that these will come out true! I checked and double checked EVERYTHING!
They stand a chance at being the best single product I have made yet! That is, so long as I don't screw up too many rivets!!!

someone say juggie girls?
man am I late getting to this thread or what.
I had some major visual progress tonight so I thought I'd share. I finished flanging and seaming my nose ribs (all 46 of them) and cut the first lightening hole. I've still got to flange that hole, drill another hole, flange that hole, and add an angle stiffener. Other than that I'm almost done with the first 46 ribs.
only 124 more to make after that and I can start assembling. . .

I saw that they were in the picture and wondered if you'd recognize them.
I tried them on a couple of ribs. Believe it or not, I liked the cobbled together Avery pliers better. It seemed to take less effort to squeeze.
If you are around this weekend I'll brave the traffic, and plan on taking a drive out your way to get them home to you.
