Not quite aviation related but...
Any financial whizes out there? I know a family in need and I want to donate some money to them. Anybody know a good way to donate money to a real live human anonymously?
None of you humans qualify so don't even think about it!

Well lets see......you could buy a money order and just not fill your name out on it. You could donate it through a trusted third party. You could roll up a wad of cash and throw it through the window.

Gifts up to $10k are not taxable to the receiving party. If you want an itemized deduction for a charitable contribution on your tax return you will have to make the payment to a qualified non-profit (401c3, etc) and not receive any gifts or services in exchange. They in turn will have to make the gift. Which would make you anonymous. You could try contacting a ministry that would be willing to help without charging an administrative fee. I might have some leads.

give it to the priest/reverend of their church, if they attend one, and have him deliver it.

Duh!

Didn't even think of the money order. I guess a cashier's check would do the same thing wouldn't it?
