For Inspiration Purposes only...

Post by Lorin Dueck »

I don’t know about you, but every now & then I need a kick in the @ss just to keep me focused… and that happened last week.

You see, Dad & Mom came down from Canada to see me in San Jose, CA and I took the week off from work to visit and play on the kit.
BTW -> Dad has built a flying RV-4 and Mom has built a flying RV-9A.

When they weren’t busy – they helped on my 9A. What a jolt!!

In less than 5 working days, we took a stack of ribs…

… marked & drilled wing wiring conduit holes …

Image

… riveted a wing skeleton together…

Image

… primed & clecoed the top skin/rib assembly…

Image

… and finally completely a prepped wing skin (drilled, deburred & dimpled)…

Image

…. And I couldn’t have done it without their help.
Thanks Dad (& Mom)!!

… Oh, and by the way, did I mention we got BOTH wings done?!!

Hey, if they would like to come and visit beautiful Iowa tell them to come on down! I could always use a little help.

That looks great and is about the same stage I am currently at so it really is inspiring! :good job:
