Photos of JR's airplane

Post by JohnR »

Hello all,

I nanother post I mentioned that John Roberts had finished his airplane. I sent him an email and introduced myself and he was kind enough to send me some photos of his newplane. It is a very nice looking plane! I asked if he would mind if I posted them here and he said he would be honored so here goes.

The specs he sent me are:

"My partner,Les, and I recently completed work on our RV7A after 3 years of work. It has a 180hp Superior 360XP engine assembled by Aerosport Power, one LightSpeed and an Aerocomposites prop. We have the Skytech light weight starter and a B&C 20 amp alternator running off the vacuum pad."

John says "I flew N217RV for the first time last Thursday and plan to fly again today. The first flight was flawless and the plane flies great."

I'll see if I can get him to stop by our virtual community and say hello sometime.

Now thats a great look'n plane. Really nice paint job. It always seems to be that the simple things just seem to stand out. No wacky paint, just good lines and great colour (or color for you US folk).

Very nice looking -7A! I tend to agree with you Snap, that a simple paint scheme is my preference as well. I think the newer style "swoopy" lines are neat, but for me it will be simple two color, and straight lines. 8)
