Actually it arrived last Fri. while I was in CO but I finally got to see it! Talk about Christmas in July - this thing is beautiful!! I've been sitting here with a silly grin on my face all afternoon.
The shop is really starting to fill up!
I need to fit the A/C in the window as I am sweating just standing around.
Thomas
-8 wings (and now QB fuse!)

Wow! That looks nice!
My fuse is ordered but it won't look like that when it gets here. I would guess it will look a little flatter until I work on it for quite a while. IT is supposed to ship toward the end of August.
Keep us updated on your progress!

Congrats Thomas.
That saves about a year's worth of work in my opinion since it took me about a year (off and on) to get to the stage yours showed up in.
In retrospect, I would do the wings myself again, but might opt for a quick build fuselage next time. Still, it has been rewarding to do it all myself.

Way cool T, email me some pics inside so I can see how far ahead the QB gets you. I agree with Wicked Stick. If I was going to do it all over I would suck up the extra cost for the QB fuse. That is unless they come out with a matched drilled RV-8.

The QB is nice ... it sorta feels like cheating, though. It does look like it would be fun to build. My next project will probably be all slow build - I like the process.
Chad - the shop is responsible for a 3+ month delay in the project! I spent most of the winter framing / running wires / insulating / sheetrocking etc. I'm lucky I'm not married as the shop is (much) nicer now than the house that comes with it. The house projects are getting neglected in favor of the RV

Same thing happens at my house.

Probably a pretty common circumstance among builders...
congrats
