Looks great John. As I'm looking at your picture I realize I have never put my emp parts together like that.

Great feeling isnt it, when you complete something like that. Congrats !
Now peel all the blue stuff off so you don't trap any moisture underneath any slightly peeled areas, as those parts will most likely be sitting around for a year or so at least.
Also, you might want to get a picture of you and the Mrs next to it before storing it. It's a good idea to get pictures of you with the project if your planning on the repairmens certificate.
Hopefully in another 9 months we'll see you next to the finished wings.

I have those, just didn't post them. Not the most flattering pictures ya know
9 months for the wings? Throwing down the gauntlet aren't you?

LOL, Well you did mention something about never moving again

at least until the wings are done.
For me it's going something like this (all slow build):
Empennage; 4-5 months
Wings; about 1.2 years
Fuselage; 1.8 years so far....
Finish and Firewall Forward; probably 6 to 9 months.
I started out with a goal of 4 years, but it's looking more like 5 at this point.

Awesome Spike!! Way to go, looks wonderful! Like Jim, I never took a picture of mine set up like that either. Probably should, but then I'd have to dig it out of storage...
Wing ribs!!! They're cooooommming!

Looks terrific, Spike! Inspires me to get back to work. Boy, this laziness spell is tenacious as hell. I don't think I've done anything since the middle of June...

Excellent! From what I've read a good number of kits never make it that far, so you are well on your way now.

The old saying is that persistance not skill build airplanes but it looks like you have both. Keep up the good work. You may pass me up. I have a quick build that I have been working on for 5 years.
