Its a new year, and its time to start talking about Osh '07. Who is in? More importantly, and the reason Im starting this thread, is to talk about accomodations.

Dave had made mention of doing an RB house again. If so Im very interested. David?

I'll be there too - already requested the time off.
Will definitely try to make the dinner, but I'll be camping again, too - enjoyed the stay in Scholler last year.

I'm going to Osh this year along with two guys from the church. We'd be VERY interested in getting into a house. The guys I'm going with are older and "need" refinements such as AC and a comfortable bed. One of them said something about not wanting to stand in lines to use a port-a-john. I've never been, so even standing in line at Osh sounds kind of appealing. javascript:emoticon('')

Let me know the details, # of rooms, # of people, etc. When you get it all figured out. If I can help in any way, let me know.

Thanks and looking forward to July 23rd!

Although it is a long half hour drive away, I'll be there for one or two days

(I had my birthday dinner at the Black Otter the other night - boy was that good!)

Yummm, the black otter. Has the Prime Quarter opened up yet? Last we checked the owner was considering reopening at a smaller location.

I am definitely in!

I am hoping that fellow RVer Ken Richard will be with me. We have discussed flying out in his -7.

The Van's BBQ was a lot of fun last year, so hopefully you guys will go this year I will get a chance to meet you.

I am an Oshkosh convert. I didn't think it would be a big deal -- just another aviation convention -- just Sun 'n Fun only bigger. Boy was I wrong. It was the most amazing show I have ever seen. Between the incredible airshows every day with big name performers and amazing aircraft of all kinds, to the seminars and all of the vedors in one location, plus the other cool vendors, it's simply amazing.

See you all there.

FYI, for any of you northeast guys who want to save some cash, if I don't fly I will do what I did last year which is fly into Chicago and drive up. I got a great fare on Southwest into Midway, and I rented a car and drove to Osh -- about 3 hours. If you want to share the car, let me know.

I plan on being there. We will probably stay at Scholler again. This year I think we will come up the last half of the week instead of the first. Keep us posted o nthe Rivetbangers night out, wouldn't want to miss that!

Beth and I will be there FOR SURE!!! ..and I'm with John on going for the last half this year indtead of the first half. I think we missed some action (and the F22's) by taking off mid week.

We will probably camp at Scholler again but we 're not set in stone. If we had a sweet ride like Chad we would be camping for sure! Let me know the details on the house and I'll be able to committ sooner rather than later. The only issue is that I'm not going for the whole week. My plan is to come in Thursday and out on Sunday.

Yeah, that was a sweet ride last year! If only it didn't cost me $400 in gas to get it there and back!!! :o :o :o :o That thing got 7mpg average for the trip. Won't be in that again this year. We are planning on buying a nice pop-up camper sometime this spring to camp in at OSH. We'll see...

WOW! 7mpg! That's almost as bad as the Rocket drivers get! OK I would still love to have one...

Beth and I will be in the tent if we camp. We'll be anxious to see your new rig! ...and cop one of your COLD beers again!

When my wife and I went for '05 and camped, the whole time I was thinking how ideal a VW Westfalia would be. I was on a Westy kick before then and still am to some extent :)
