Before every airplane is dilivered here, it gets a "cold soak" flight. This gives us an opertunity to check to make sure averything operates smoothly after thermal expansion/contraction. This includes checking every door hinge and latch in the cabin.
Since the aircraft is still experimental at this time, it is usually confined to a relitively small airspace (just like our phase one testing). Since this flight was not experimental, they decided to do some "skywriting".
