Sirius Question

Post by TomC »

Hi All,

I flew to Boone, IA for their RV fly-in this morning, alot of great lookin' planes.

My plane has a Sigtronics stereo intercom with a music input. This input works great with my IPOD. However, with my Sirius receiver, the sound is so soft that I can barely hear it, even with the volume turned all the way up. Does anyone have any ideas for boosting the volume? I would like to be able to listen to broadcast music and sports while flying crosscountry.

Thanks in advance.

Does your radio not have a volume out control? If not you should do a search on the internet for things like the boosteroo, etc. They will amplify low level outputs such as your radio's.

I have the volume turned up on the radio. I will try looking for a Boosteroo. Maybe that will be what I need. Thanks for the help.

What model Sirius? When I first put my S50 in my car, it was very low volume, until I turned up the volume on the S50 all the way. I'm not sure if the other models are the same way :?

Its a Sirius Sportster and it is turned all the way up. I think I will be looking for an external amp, such as the Boostaraoo. Radio Shack also has a similar looking one.
