Quiet lately ...

Post by Spike »

It's been kind of quiet lately on the board. Right now we have 286 registered members and many more non-registered members. I bet only 10% have posted though. So, who are you quiet types and what kind of projects are you working on?

Spike, I’ve been anything but quite on this board but since you asked I’ll try to kick this off. As I said somewhere else on the board I purchased the preview plans set. Since it was in a box when I picked it up from Vans I wasn’t sure what was going to be inside. Once home I was way pleased with what I found and have been spending as much of my time as possible reading and trying to digest the information Van provides. For anyone that doesn’t have it yet I have to say it’s a must read if your at all interested in an RV. For anyone that does have it I would say it’s an aughta re-read. Today I spent several hours at my shop with an eye toward getting it set up for building my RV7. One last wood working job to get out of the way, several sets of dual 18” speaker cabinets for a local concert supplier, and I’ll be on my way. There is a lot of clean up and clean out for me to do. Very close to buying my tools and tail feathers. My son will also be building with me though he also has his regular job and school to do. Once the RV is begun I intend for myself to spend at least several months working on it full time in an effort to move it along. While working on projects I tend to become very goal oriented and fairly tenacious.

Spike, Probably due to the holiday season most of the guys & gals are building all they can before they have to give it up for a few days while spending the time with the rest of the family. ----Of course maybe they can convince the rest of the family to come out to the shop and help!!!
