Flipped!!

Happy boy here flipped his fuse at 5 pm this afternoon. To those who aren't here yet, Damn this thing looks better right side up!!To those who are , you know I'm right, lol. Seriously, the fuse is a lot of work, and getting the whole thing assembled and clecoed and drilled, only to have to take it all down for deburring and dimpling is downright depressing. My good friend spent 3 days helping me buck rivets. Dennis, I owe ya buddy!

It's readily apparent there's plenty left to do, but I might actually finish this thing! The finish kit is in process, along with some other parts. Hope to have an engine by late summer and get this baby flying before this time in 2009.

Well, that's the plan anyway :)

Chappy, that is awesome! Really some gratifying stuff, having that thing flipped over, huh?

There's a few more in the gallery. Today will be spent getting this baby jigged level, then we can just keep adding parts until they're all gone

Definitely had my share of problem areas, and a bunch of drilled rivets. I'll have the tech guy over again before anythings closed up. There were 4 rivets up at the firewall that defied our efforts. where the 2 center stiffeners meet the firewall there are 2 hefty brackets that are riveted to the firewall. There is simply no room to get anything in there to buck the rivets.
