I bought a 430W, SL30, and a pair of indicators from Stark. They got my money yesterday.

Unfortunately, it's going to be four weeks before I get any of it :(

how refreshing

well it's all going in the cherokee for now :)

I figure this is a good way to dump money into the project AND improve my current flying digs for awhile :D

I fly hard IFR enough to warrant it. The avionics in the cherokee have been giving me trouble for awhile, and it's not a tremendous amount more to replace them with new awesome stuff than it is to replace them with used stuff of the same capability.

Plus, I can sell off what I have in there now and get probably $5k back.

 chad, if you can say that when your finished then i'll beleive it.
these things get way out of hand...i was thinking i was going to spend about 7500 and ended up around 12,500 not to mention all the breakers and switches..i know you'll probally go fuses so there a little savings there.
i used vans harness and with that i should have used switch breakers and maybe a fuse panel or two. good luck.

Everybody says that when I tell them how much I plan to spend for my panel. Shop for deals, and it can happen buddy!

Here's my panel...

The empty holes left to right are TT ADI Pilot II, MGL Enigma, SL-40, and GTX-327. No fuse or breakers with the EXPBUS.

I'd be happy to share the page from my spreadsheet that has all the expenses broken down...

Chad, are you planning on that Andair throttle quad still? I see that you lack room for verniers, so no turning back.

...just wondering.

Negative on the Andair quad...I can still do verniers. They hang below the panel, according to plans.

I still plan to use a quadrant tho...

well if you say so

I fly IMC, and I want dual glideslopes.

I've been flying the cherokee with a KNS-80 and a NAV-121 (no glideslope), and the KI-206 attached to the KNS-80 has a flaky glideslope movement that sticks occasionally.

I'll feel a LOT better when I get the new stack in there.
