wow, i have wasted a whole week buying a new gas guzzler. i use my suv aloooot, camping, boating and going to ball games. the main need for a full size one was to pull my boat. it too is a gas hog.
this thing is reeeealy nice. v8, locking diff, 20 inch wheels, nav with backup camera, DVD, heated seats and alot more. the upside is im in it for 30 gs less than the plane.

Just wait until you are carting kids off to college. Gotta luv my Suburban just for that! With 4 kids I sometimes feel like I am running a trucking company........

cj, i wanted a yukon and was ready to buy it from the dealership i worked at for 7 years. the local chevy place beat them by by 2000$. we wanted white GMC yukon and all they had were charcoal grey, an no white ones within 500 miles with the equipment we liked. the tahoes were availiable with more for less.

hmmmm i'll take the Tahoe.

Nice--my wife used to drive an 01, we turned it into a second vehicle last summer in favor of a diesel jetta(43mpg instead of 13mpg), but she still sneaks off and drives it once in a while, more so during winter.
I gotta get one of the new ones--they are sweet!!!
I will take one in black/grey leather

the deals are right sweet now but i think the suv deals will get even better. my 2002 yukon was @ 145,000 miles. never replaced anything including the brakes (still look new BTW). just fluid change maint. and tires (3 sets) i may sell it now but i think you have to give the old ones away (3500$

no way). i may just cut the top of it and use it to burn trash in.

Our 01 has 143,000 on it, and all I ever replaced on it was the fuel pump in the tank and the tires. I felt the same way, I didn't want to give it away.
I think the deals are gonna get better also, but maybe the oil price has settled for a little while.
