Was out at the airport at the right time today and got a ride in this Waco UPF7. What a hoot!!! We did a couple loops, a hammerhead and then a 3 turn spin. Then I got to fly it around a bit up to setting up for final.
Just a bit heavier on the stick than my 6A! What a chunk of an airplane!
Way too cool to be legal!

That is a gorgeous airplane! I'm hoping to be able to make it to the Blakesburg fly-in over Labor Day weekend. I really enjoy looking over all of the antique planes, they are amazing.

I hear Blakesburg is THE place to be if you are a classics fan. I have a friend that is a member of the organization (whatever it is called) that runs that get together. Wish I could fly down this year, but no joy.
A side note about the Waco I rode in. The owner/pilot was on his way back to Florida, once Fay gets outta there, from a trip up to Alaska. Said he had over 120 hrs of flying, so far, during the trip!!!

Whoa! That would be a lot of fun but I'd hate to see the fuel bill.

It is. Seems I've always got something going on and can't make it for some reason. Our farm, while 85 miles from where I live, is only about 4 or 5 miles from the airfield. This year I plan on making it.
