I need some advice.
The F601Z aux fuel pump doubler gets riveted to the aft side of the firewall.
I understand the nut plates are attached on the fore side with countersunk rivets in the doubler so the fuel pump can be flush mounted.
... but what side do the remaining rivets get dimpled / countersunk?
The plans say flush heads on fore side - but does this mean the shop ends do not interfere with the aux pump?
Anybody have a pic of theirs?

the flush heads go in the inside so the pump can bolt to the firewall. shop heads on the nut plate side.

the rest face the fwd side of the firewall ..makes it easy to clean i spose.

That's kinda what I thought.
Here's another place where you can get "VAN"dalized - if you just go ahead and follow the plans without thinking ahead.

i am not sure my message came across clear in the way i was thinking but after re reading your post i think and will check tonight but the fuel pump doubler rivets on with the flush sides fwd and the only rivets that go in fron the aft side are the nut plate rivets. i will double check this when i get home...sorry for the confusion now its clear as mud im sure.

lorin. it says on the aft side but they are looking at the aft side when they say that . i put the flush heads on the engine side of the f/wall. i dont see any potential for interference. however i dont see a prblem with doing it either way... mine is bass ackwards if aft really means aft.....
