Blood, Sweat and Tears

Post by aparchment »

Well, I have spent a ton of sweat on this project, and today I added blood to that. I hope the tears are tears of joy on my first flight day.

In 20 years of modeling I never cut myself with a dremel tool. I didn't even know it was possible. Well I found out today that a cutoff wheel will go through your finger like butter! Ouchee!

Yipes. Did it require needle and thread?

no emergency room

Fortunately not. I pulled away before I went too deep. Also the thing was spinning so fast that it seems to have partially cauterized the cut.

I will be more careful of the dremel from now on.

Gives "Spinning Wheel" a whole new dimension doesn't it?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Hope your finger feels better.

Been there, done that. I took a large chunk of my left index finger off with a scotchbrite wheel on my grinder one day when my work slipped out of my hand, it does indeed cauterize the wound as it opens. Doesn't bleed much at all, but takes a long time to heal.

Building a 9A with too much fuel and too much engine - should drop dead any minute now.
