I suppose one could locate the bolts on the bottom of the plate, and carefully drill relief's for them...
Have you guys mounted or made any mods for the fuel tank indicator plate?
I am going to cut a AL ring to make a spacer. Just checking to see what others have done. Anyone else want one, while I'm on the lathe?

I like the idea of a ring better than the countersunk screws...
Count me in for one if the price is right

No doubt a great piece from a great bunch of people but I can't afford such luxuries...

I'm in for it Brian! Assuming you're going to make the ring flush to the sides of the plate???

I'm in for one also if the same diameter as the plate. I was going to make one with PVC and secure with epoxy and a couple small screws for security.

We'll see how many I make. Right now I think most are spoken for.

Someday maybe I'll have room for a lathe, they are a very handy machine to have 'around'.

only a "Tool" would be able to "finish" off a post like that.
FYI-I'm making a few more rings if someone wants 1.

I'm sure you will get some takers, I'm not even close to that point yet, so who knows what my parts will look like when I get them.
