Questions on SS fuel line and Firesleeve

Post by Brantel »

So I want to make the "U" between my gascollator and FF transducer out of SS tubing... What material standard do I purchase for this?

I want to cover it with firesleeve... What is the least expensive way to seal the ends of the firesleeve?

Brian-

From what I recall, you need a special flaring tool to flare SS tubing. Why not use aluminum, or have Bret at Bonoco make a short piece of firesleaved flexible hose with two 90 degree fittings on either end?

Good points guys...

I think I will stick with alum but I am going to cover it with firesleeve.

I would go with the hose to make the U but I don't think I have enough radius there for a U shaped hose.

I could use 90° fittings on the hose but that adds two more 90's that the fuel has to run through. Also the Transducer likes to have smooth flow entering it for accuracy.
