Thought the group would find this interesting. Had a chance to go on a tour of Enstrom Helicopters, located on my home field (MNM) in Menominee MI.

This is a shot of how they wire up the electrical system for their turbine helicopter. Every wire has a label and you can see that each one is of a certain length etc. There is manual that tells the technician what size wire to use, what terminal connector, and even what tools to use to accomplish each task. Blew me away.

Where were they when I was wiring up my 6A!!?

Here is a shot of the RollsRoyce turbine engine. Puts out about 420hp IIRC, but is derated to around 300-something. I have a good memory, just that its short . I can't get over how small it is! Funny thing was that the box of manuals for this engine was almost as big as the engine!

Turbines are TINY these days, I had a look around an MD902 Explorer recently and it had its engines out. Remarkable how engines that small can produce so much power! Almost looked as if you could fit it in the palm of your hand!

Yup, it's a shame that nobody has been able to (successfully) put a gearbox on one of those things and give us turbine-powered RVs!
