I had my dad put his own personal touch on my airplane by having him paint the SJ plenum for me.
I love the blockiness of the painting...it gives a good hint of what lies beneath!

I like the concept and your Dad did a terrific job! Is he going to paint your whole airplane? It looks like he could very easily do it and I am sure it would be beautiful.
