My guess out of that list would be me! BUT...I was just looking at my calendar, and with inspection on July 6th, I wanted to try and schedule first flight over one of the next two weekends, but I'm out of town the 8-12 in Richmond, IN with my wife and doggies, then I mow at Oshkosh the next weekend 17-18, then I go back to OSH for the big show the following weekend. Kind of bummed me out just now. Unless I do it one evening during the week, I'll be pushed in to August... :roll:

Yea it looks like you Chad are most likely to succeed next...You can do it one evening.....just take your time and do it all up right and tripple check everything!!!

I was hyped up in overdrive for hours after my first flight. Talk about adrenaline overload!!!! My wife still comments on how weird I was acting after that event!

Oh! Since that thing is all but done now, you could move that inspection date up and then you won't have a conflict!!!!! :evil:

I could do it in an evening, but getting everyone there that needs to be there is the challenge...

I'm pretty set with 7/6 since the FSDO is doing the inspection...we'll see... 8)

I vote Chad. Although Mike has been quiet lately so could sneak in under the radar.

Last year I was about 12-15 months behind several guys here and have made some wonderful progress. But I have much to do and Spring runoff(pesky work) will add several weeks to my build. So realistically I won't be ready until late july or august.

I vote Chad too.

I have been making some nice progress lately. I had a serious talk with some local RV'ers yesterday at the airport about the first engine start.

My list of things left include:
* Paint some interior parts
* Safety Wire Prop Bolts
* Fill and Prime Cowl
* Finish the Neoprene Sam James plenum adapters
* Connect the fuel system
* Rivet Forward Fuselage Skin
* Wingtip work
* ELT Antenna

There are a couple of other small things, but the list is pretty small now!

I put in a solid 6 hours on the project last night and finally rolled the old girl out for a photoshoot around sunset:

NO not now!

I suffered a major building setback yesterday. Got to work after a nice vacation, we had a meeting to discuss a hydraulic failure that is occuring as we speak. Big shutdown starts Tuesday to repair the turbine runner. This will definitely impact my ability to get any RV progress for about 2 weeks, maybe longer depending on what we find upon entering the waterway. :(

You guys are all gonna lose. Bill H. in my humble Hangar #5 is all pink slipped and poised for launch. He asked me to do first flight and we should be able to commit to the sky within the next 2 weeks!

Details to follow, I promise!

Mike,

Looks like you are getting close. It looks like your hanger is covered with the same plastic as the alclad of your plane. :roll:

Good luck Brian on getting problems at work fixed so you can get back to the important things in life like building an airplane!

Has Bill flown it yet, or are you still "Captain" of that ship?
