What am I going to do next?

Post by bullojm1 »

Busy weekend:

1) Preoiled the engine
2) Spun the prop with the starter (plugs out) and saw oil pressure and RPM's on my EFIS.
3) Filled up my tank with fuel and tested fuel flow and fuel pressure.
4) Timed my EMAG and Mag.

Hmmm, any guesses as to what tomorrow has in store?

Mike, that is awesome!

You are getting sooo close!

We are passing 8.4 hours on the -6.

Might just have to buzz down and see you to be sure you are doing everything alright!

Quick update on the engine start. Other than this bonehead forgetting to advance the mixture on my FI engine once it caught, the first engine start went flawlessly. Only squawks were no CHT on #3, no EGT on #4 and a bad tach reading. All were fixed very quickly (CHT and EGT were because some connectors became disconnected, Tach because of a setting in the EIS). GREAT DAY! Videos and lots of pics to be posted on my website in the next day or so!

Good job dude. And if those guys give you too much stuff just tell Jack to go check his fuel lines....

Spike,

Don't worry, Jack's FAA inspector who I have been talking to already gave me a heads up -- "BTW, don't let Savage inspect your fuel system!" was his advice!

On that note, I have a time and date now scheduled with an FAA inspector for my RV.
