So this isn't going to do anything good for my alcoholic beverage reputation, but because it was done in such a good spirit, I have to pass this along.
TomNativeNewYorker...Tom...a man I've never met, a man that always gives me a hard time about my fruity (frooty) beer consumption, a man that now travels the world for work, decided to buy me a bottle beer while in Amsterdam. Why did he do this? I have no idea, other than the fact that we are "cyber-friends" on this great forum. I didn't ask for this to be sent to me...Tom just did it.
So, a big thank you to Tom...and if I ever do meet you in person, a few rounds are on me!!
The note...funny guy...
And the beer that I am eagerly awaiting 5 o'clock for...

Chad,
That's great! It's just that it's so much fun to poke a little fun at you.
Actually, I had a visitor myself here last month. A new friend and fellow builder came up here from California. Guess what he brought to my house? A nice cold 6-pack of WingWalker Amber Ale! Check it out:
Needless to say, I was very surprised and delighted. I had never heard of it. You might give this a try. It's really good!

Chad, You won't like the Wing Walker beer because it isn't fruity!

Nice try Bruce to get Chad straightened out! I hope to meet Tom some day also and then I will give him a contribution towards the cost of the fruity beer for you!

I think Tom is trying to sabotage your race with Mike, Wicked Stick and Dave as to who will finish first. They really ought to send Tom a donation now because you will be so into the fruity beer Tom sent that you won't have time to do your Condition Inspection or fly off the time.

That's okay, Bob. Not to worry. There's another solution available. WingWalker makes a whole family of beers. Surely one of them is frooty enough! They even have one that comes in a pink box:
If the Amber Ale isn't frooty enough for our friend, he can try the WingWalker Pale Ale instead!
I haven't tried the Pale Ale yet, but here's what the prestigious Beverage Tasting Institute has to say. (I'm not even kidding about this. There really is such a thing!

Wingwalker Pale Ale.
Pale amber color. Aromas of brown sugar and toasted date bread follow through on a crisp, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with good depth and a mild citrus marmalade and straw-like hop impression on the finish.
WORLD BEER CHAMPIONSHIPS AWARD: Silver Medal
RATING: 85 points (Highly Recommended)
ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 5.3%
CATEGORY: American Style Pale Ale, Ale
TASTING LOCATION: In Our Chicago Tasting Room
TASTING DATE: Mar-03-2010
BEER ID: 191148
And rumour has it... it's available at Albertson's! How about that?

In your area they used to be known as Jewel Tea a few merger's ago Chad. I know they are still in the Illinois area but I don't know what they are called there! That should be a good place to check out Wing Walker's Fruity Beer. In Minnesota they have an affialation with Cub Foods and their Liquor stores. I will be checking that out sometime when I am in Minneapolis area but I won't be bying the fruity stuff unless I hear your are headed my way Chad.
