No, I didn't change my mind.

No, I didn't order another RV kit (though, it was heavily weighed!)

Yes, I did order my next airplane! Well, not technically an airplane, but if I follow all the steps on the papers, I will have another airplane one of these days! I ordered a set of Hummel Bird plans this weekend!

So not really a repeat builder, but I'm gonna build again, and remain a Rivetbanger!! 8)

That actually reminds me of the Thatcher which also looked like a nifty little plane. How are you going to source your materials Chad?

Yeah, there's a Thatcher CX4 being built, actually almost complete, here at Bloomington. Very cool airplane, but a little more money than I want to spend on a second airplane toy.

I'll get hardware from work, and probably drive to Wick's for materials. They are in the St. Louis area, so they're close enough when I need something. Other things such as engine mount, gear, etc. can be sourced from Hummel Aviation.

First a Bearhawk, then a Coyote, now a hummelbird! What's next, an Avid?

I bet that would be a kick in the pants to fly, Chad!

She wants me to have something to do while she's at dog shows and seminars, so I figured I'd rather do this (and spend LESS), than restore my Saab (and spend MORE).

It'll definitely be a challenge, and a new skill set to learn...if PK ever checks back in here, he'll have to give me some pointers on pounding out ribs!!

That looks fun!! I am with Brian, tho--do they make them adult(bubba) size?

There was a plane kit like that on EBAY a while back, seemed like the whole airframe kit was about 10k.

I have been thinking about my next project, (when I finish the house :bang: ).

I am thinking something like a bearhawk 8)

Looks like fun Chad. If the parts you need will fit in your airplane, give me a call and if I'm available I'll pick you up at Shafers Metro East (3K6) and take you to Wicks. Or call your order in and I can pick it up and meet you at 3K6.

P.S. That bird should really scream with a Subie in it! :o
