Well, it's happened. I have begun construction on a Hatz Classic biplane. The void left after completing my 6A was too much to bear.
This is once again going to be a long-term project. Even though it is a wood, tube and fabric airplane, the ailerons are still aluminum. Thus I'll STILL be a rivetbanger!
I've set up a website to log my construction:

Rather basic stuff so far. Just making all the parts needed for rib construction.
I really need to have my head examined........

Yee-haw! There's nothing like that wind-in-your-hair low and slow flying. You're going to have the best of all worlds; a fast, get-there airplane, and a low and slow kicking around the country on a Sunday afternoon airplane.

Nifty! The Hatz has some of the most classy lines of all the bipes. Actually, you could really build one of those things and hang it uncovered as a work of art. Nice choice. Keep us in the loop!!

Mine wasn't too surprised. She knows how much of a Sickie I am regarding aviation.
Cool project Dave! I have a feeling you'll be in the air sooner than I will.
