Not real sure why...but I ordered a set of -3 preview plans this week.
I asked for a set of Legal Eagle XL plans or Christmas.
I have a set of EAA Biplane plans.
I'm gonna need a bigger hangar. 😳

Chadley,
You are in the wrong support group if you think that is a problem!

At least you have a hangar!
Side note: anyone know of any good places to build in the Baltimore area?

No hangar yet...just thinking of future needs! 😉
Brian, the odd thing to think about, is the Tailwind, Legal Eagle, and half of an RV-3 would cost about as much to build as I had in my RV-7!!

I know what you mean about the $$$'s. sometimes I wonder if Kris would rather have our cabin finished or my airplane.
I spent a fair amount of time over at the OSH ultralights area this year. Neil and I thought we should be a pair of Legal Eagles for playng aorund the valley. I think they'd be a hoot....but I've been veto'd.

Oh man...the Legal Eagle looks like SO much fun!! I may build one concurrently with the Tailwind...

Can you build a Legal Eagle for under $10,000?

Absolutely! My goal would be to build one for less than $6,000...

Maybe less than $5,000 depending on where/how I come up with an engine.

Good heavens. I go to FL for a week for vacation and chad gets the fever. Someone hit him with some antibiotics. They must have one heck of a benefits package up North there.
Though my guess is that this is probably a normal reaction when you are snowed in 7 months of the year.

It could get real bad...it has snowed one time, just befor thanksgiving, nothing since. And if I'm talking like this already...
RV-3 preview plans arrived today. Looks like fun!! Gotta focus on the Tailwind, but could be a future super slow build!

Ribs are done and I picked up my spars this past weekend, but I probably won't be able to do much until we get moved in to the new house in February.

It's more like 7 and a half, but who's counting.
