I haven't touched the RV in a few months, and have switched materials from aluminum and rivets to wood and glue. There's no RV grin at the end of this project, but I can't imagine how big the grin will be when it's done!

I present to you the "GeeBee Grin"!

That is beautiful. Wow. What are the details? Did you do that cowling yourself?

Kel, very cool!

I wish that I had one of those when I was his age! He is off to a great start!

Thanks guys! I got all of the kits they offer (precut wood, etc.), and the nose of the cowl was already pre-shaped and the ribs (63 of them!) for the cowl were precut, but each one still needed to be tapered to fit together properly.

I'd say building one solely from the plans would be a grandparents job, the kits are required if you're a mere parent

Sure thing! Yesterday he was climbing into it and saying "Keer pop!" I have no idea where he learned that! :o
