Cheap painting booth
I got the idea when I had to paint a ring to on a customer plane with a hangar full of aircraft, instead of killing the shop productivity and dumping the entire hangar for a few day the saying "necessity is the mother of invention" kicked in! for about $125 you can make one of these, all you need is a 10x10 ez up and 4 10x10 tarps, I zip tied the tarps to each of the 4 corners and then used tape to seal the sides, as you can see it works with doing both wing tips and inner wing sections, but could be adaptive to anything else. there is ZERO over spray, there is a slight smell in the area but nothing a open door cant fix, but a couple of heat lamps in there and your dry in less than a day, I am really impressed how well this works and the paint looks great, here are some pics. just thought I would pass this along to anyone who might need small parts painted or even sections of aircraft.
