Black Otter Prime Rib Champion

Post by painless »

This year's Black Otter Prime Rib King is none other than my son, Michael Orear. In a dizzying display of speed and agility, Mike polished off a King Cut prime rib, dethroning the former champion, Mike Bullock.

Mike, if Jeff brings his son it won't matter which size you order. That boy was impressive!

Sorry we all could not get together at the Otter at the same time.

My wingman and I bow before the king of beef. We are not worthy!

Yes Mike, the next step is the big boy...4 ribs!

Who all is planning on going to Oshkosh this year? I am on the fence now, but I might be able to sneak in for 2 nights.

I'll be there! That's probably obvious though...would love to make the Otter if other activities <work> doesn't get in the way. 8)

The VAF get together is on Monday night. When is the Van's banquet? Looks like we could do the Otter either Tuesday or Wednesday night.

Sorry to say that my son probably won't be able to make it to defend his title. He's taking a class this summer at UW. Like that's more important than consuming mass quantities. Where did I go wrong with that boy…..

You guys that are coming in for a short stay from way out of town should pipe up here and set the date.

Monday - Beer Fairy
Tuesday - Van's Banquet
Wednesday - Young Eagles Banquet
Thursday - Homebuilder's Banquet, EAA Auction (I'm not 100% sure)

There is also usually a RV-10 HQ dinner early in the week too, but no date has been set yet.

There will be conflict any night that is chosen. The question is which night has the least conflict.

I will be in HBC with my RV-10. I'll be arriving on Saturday morning and departing Thursday morning after the Technical Counselor breakfast.

Well it looks like my vote is for Wednesday. We'll have to wait and see what the consensus of the group is.

Ellen I will be there Mon-Thurs.

We're booked for the Beer Fairy on Monday and the Vans Banquet on Tues, and we're on the fence about the Homebuilder Dinner. So Wednesday could be a good day for the Otter...
