Finally did it ... TW endorsement

I finally finished up the tail wheel endorsement this past weekend. The mount of choice was a really cherry Bellanca Decathlon. That was fun!

One thing I found slightly humorous was that 2 weekends ago I took a new Cirrus G5 out for a spin with a local rep for a few hours and found that the Cirrus was harder to taxi than the Decathlon.

I think the nose wheel RV guys might actually have a harder time with the free castering wheel than the tail wheel guys! (of course you know I had to stir the pot)

Congrats on your new endorsement. I found my TW endorsement to be quite challenging. (I did mine in a Citabria based on KMTN)

Did the Decathalon have heel brakes? Those are a challenge in themselves - My legs hurt after every flight!

Way to go, Spike! That's really a great accomplishment, and I'm sure it was a lot of fun, too. :)

Congrats Spike! TW's are a lot of fun. I was planning on building one but had a change of heart. I want the 9 for x-country and do not need any added anxiety worrying about x-winds. I too will own one someday.
