Yesterday for a brief moment someone posted on VAF a link from the FAA Lessons Learned site to the reason behind an Air Chinese 737 fire - a single missing washer! While not 100% RV related, it hit home for me the importance of overlooking what could be a small detail in the build.
Today, on the front page, a video is linked in showing a bird crashing through the window of a Cessna 210.
Both links are 100% non-RV related, but both are 100%+ safety related. I don't get the over-moderation over there. Makes me appreciate this board a lot more.
For those who are interested, the video on the Air Chinese fire is located here:

Yaaaahhhh Mikey...
I hear ya!
Safety is one of Dugs pet peeves so it gets top billing over there.
Me? Unlike Dug, I don't wear nomex underwear...
I just prefer to keep my balls outta the fire!
HA!

I have three confirmed kills (a goose, a bat and a starling) and two hit and runs. Yes I was called a "bird magnet" by Tony. I fly low a lot and 99% of my visual attention is looking for the feathered and 1% for MANPADS with iPhones. There are no airliners, mil or PD helos under 100 feet
PS; Mike are you coming to FDK for formation clinic on Feb 15th?
