I just got a call from my wife letting me know that when she got home she found 2 boxes sitting on our porch. She said that one box was ripped open on the top and crushed on the bottom. She said there were even foot prints on the larger box. I am glad to see FedEx prides in their delivery of high value aircraft parts. I am surprised they just left the boxes sitting on our door step with nobody home. I will let you know the verdict of the inventory and condition of the parts later when I get home.
:x :bang:

No chance that she's just messing with you? :?

I hope everything is OK when you get there - it sucks to have that hanging over your head when you should be excited about getting your kit...

Good luck!

I rushed home to see the boxes. When I first looked at them I had a sinking feeling inside. As is turns out, the larger box with the skins must have been placed on its side and was sitting in water during shipment. Someone must have grabbed that side and it fell apart like a wet paper bag. The whole left side of the box was ripped off. I thought for sure something must have feel out. There were also two punture holes in the cardboard and a nice footprint smack dab in the middle. Thank God Vans packs the part very carefully. The parts were wet, but there was no noticable damage. I spent about an hour doing the inventory and am happy to say that all the parts, even down to everything in the little paper bags are there. I even counted the tiny rivets. Not!!! I will suck it up if there are any of those missing. What a relief. I guess it's time to start building an airplane.

Whew! Glad to hear everything is OK. Check the skins for warps, or bends. They are pretty resilient.

Party on Dude!

Cheers, Pete
